Cats do not metabolize aspirin or acetaminophen as rapidly as humans and can quickly become toxic if given these medications. I don't recommend self-dosing your cat. You should have her examined by your veterinarian. If she does indeed have arthritis there are medication specifically designed to treat arthritis in cats. These medications would be safer for your 14 year old cat. You should administer medications not specifically devoloped for cats only if your veterinarian says to do so. back to top
