Should I confine my 7 week old kitten when no one is home?
A seven week old kitten could get into a great deal of mischief or even into something dangerous when left home alone. I would find a kitten proof room to keep your kitten in when you are not there. This room should have her food, water, litter box and toys. It also should have a comfortable place for her to rest. As she gets older and more reliable, she can begin to have more access to the house when you are not home.

What supplies do I need for a kitten?
It is best to be prepared when you bring a new kitten into the household. Find a quiet, safe and secure area where the kitten can spend her time when not supervised. In this area should be a bed, food bowl, water bowl and a "kitten" sized litter box. You also will need a pet carrier so that she can be safely brought home in the car. A few toys will also be needed to channel that kitten energy in the correct direction. Finally, don't forget to have ready a complete and balanced diet such as Purina ONE Growth and Development formula.
