1 My almost 11-month-old puppy drinks water too fast. He drinks it so fast it ends up on the floor. Is there anything I can do to get him to stop doing this? Also, he likes to eat his own dog poop, any suggestions there?

Also, he likes to eat his own dog poop, any suggestions there? It is not uncommon for dogs to drink water quite quickly especially if they are very excited, have been deprived of water or are extremely thirsty. If you are not leaving water for your puppy when you are gone, this might contribute to his excited drinking behavior. If that is not the case, you can try providing a small amount of water at a time and he will probably learn to slow down in his drinking. As for eating his stool, the best treatment is to supervise the dog and quickly remove the stool once he eliminates. Generally the behavior subsides over time.
